“Perfect” is not perfection, but what the body carries to the end. A ruin is a body. The body is the last site where history remains. Perfect Ruins transforms stains, breaks, and remains that have formed on the body into a language of the senses. Body, language, and material become elements that produce the narratives of these sensations. This performance reflects the body's sense of time as it arises between transformation, disappearance, and permanence. Wounds and breaks, once perceived as defects, lead to new sensations and new vitality through the traces and transformations of the body. The movements and vibrations between completeness and incompleteness do not aim for a final result, but become a process that captures moments of change. Personal narratives, the body, and the properties of the material reveal these moments and invite others to this sensory experience.
