Aban Ensemble / DJ ROSEMAH

Das Aban Ensemble besteht aus vier Musikern aus dem Iran. Mit Tar, Kamancheh, Oud und Percussion interpretieren sie persische Traditionen und eigene Improvisationen neu. Im Anschluss übernimmt DJ ROSEMAH das PANDA platforma. Ihr Set verwebt elektronische Musik, House und Hip-Hop mit Klängen aus dem persischen und afghanischen Raum. Der Abend in der PANDA platforma verbindet klassische Instrumentierung mit zeitgenössischer Clubkultur. Die Atmosphäre ist durch die verschiedenen kulturellen Hintergründe der Musiker geprägt.

Set 1 – Aban Ensemble\nAban Ensemble brings together four musicians from Iran who now live in Germany. Their name refers to the eighth month of the Persian calendar and to water – a symbol of life and renewal. Tar, kamancheh, oud and percussion give the quartet a rich range of timbres. Formed in 2023, the ensemble plays Persian traditions alongside its own compositions and delicate improvisations.\n\nSet 2 – DJ ROSEMAH\nBerlin-based DJ ROSEMAH has Afghan roots and a sound shaped by diasporic memory and contemporary club culture. Her sets move between electronic music, house and hip-hop, threading in sounds from Afghanistan, Persia and the wider SWANA region. She is interested in the connections that appear when familiar rhythms meet in unfamiliar ways – and in what a dance floor can make possible.
