RATTLESKIN ist ein neues Ballett von Ballet Sur_real, das sich mit Selbstoptimierung und dem ständigen Drang zur Veränderung auseinandersetzt. Die Choreografie von Soraya Schulthess hinterfragt, was von menschlicher Intimität bleibt, wenn das eigene Leben zum permanenten Projekt wird. Das Cank dient als Kulisse für diese Arbeit. Auf 2000 Quadratmetern verschmelzen zeitgenössischer Tanz, elektronische Musik und großflächige Videoinstallationen zu einer Einheit. Die Zuschauer bewegen sich durch den Raum, während sich Architektur und Performance entfalten. Der Fokus liegt auf einer hypnotischen Atmosphäre, die den Wunsch nach Selbstverbesserung reflektiert.

Conceived as a fully immersive experience spanning over 2,000 m² of an abandoned department store, DANCÆ takes over the landmark location for an evening of new works. This will mark the company's most ambitious project to date. RATTLESKIN is a new ballet set to electronic music about desire, happiness and the endless promise of becoming a better version of ourselves. In a culture increasingly shaped by self-optimization, the work explores our desire to change, improve and become, and the expectations we place on ourselves along the way. The piece asks what happens to love, desire and intimacy when our inner lives become an ongoing project of reflection and transformation. Conceived as a fully immersive experience, spatialized video installations and a new media work extend throughout the entire 2,000 m² space, forming an unified environment through which the audience moves and in which choreography, image and architecture unfold together. The Performances Ballet Sur_real, is the official ballet ensemble of DANCÆ, fuses classical ballet with electronic music, integrating immersive installations and innovative technologies into its choreographic language. The creations draw on contemporary life while delving into the deeper psychological motives that drive human behavior.
