Agenda of the evening: 18:00 Doors open 18:30 — Welcome and introduction to GitHub Copilot Key features, practical examples, and an overview of agent-driven development. 19:00 — Hands-on workshops in small groups Planned workshop options include: * GitHub Copilot App Workshop: explore agent-driven development, from picking up issues and running agents to reviewing changes and merging pull requests. * Agent Lab — Java: build a Social Bingo application with Java and Spring Boot using GitHub Copilot’s Agent Mode in VS Code. * App Modernization: use GitHub Copilot to modernise a legacy Java application, including upgrading from Java 8 to 21, adding health endpoints, and containerising the application. 20:00 — Networking, food & drinks Before the meetup: Please bring your laptop to the workshop.
