Cristina Sitja Rubio: Fantastic Creatures :: special handbuilding course

Cristina Sitja Rubio führt durch einen Nachmittag, an dem Illustrationen zu Tonobjekten werden. Es geht darum, eine eigene Idee in eine dreidimensionale Form zu bringen und diese von Hand zu modellieren. Das Material wird direkt bearbeitet. Die Figuren können als reine Objekte, Vasen oder Kerzenhalter dienen und werden im Anschluss mit Engoben bemalt. Nach dem Kurs trocknen die Stücke und durchlaufen zwei Brennvorgänge. Die Glasur übernimmt die Werkstatt, sodass die fertigen Arbeiten nach einigen Wochen abholbereit sind.

Under the guidance of experienced illustrator Cristina Sitja Rubio, you can transfer your imagination into clay and model a figure with your hands and then paint it. This can also be a candle holder or a vase. There are no limits to your imagination.\n\nOne-Day session with 5 hours:\n* You will transfer your previously sketched idea into clay and model and shape it\n* Painting the leatherhard object with engobes\n\nAfter the course, your pieces will be drying before we fire them for the first time. We will then apply a transparent glaze for you and fire them a second time. Your creations are usually ready around 4–6 weeks after the course. Material and firing costs are included in the course fee.
