Tausend Live: Frankie Balou & Band

Frankie Balou spielt im Tausend. Begleitet von ihrer Band verbindet sie Soul und Blues mit einer ausdrucksstarken Stimme. Das Programm mischt eigene Stücke mit einer Auswahl an Covern. Jazz- und Elektronik-Einflüsse erweitern das Klangbild, bleiben aber in der Tradition des Genres verwurzelt. Der Abend beginnt mit der Live-Darbietung. Im Anschluss übernimmt ein DJ das Programm.

Soul, blues and a voice full of character come together as Frankie Balou returns to Bar Tausend with her band. The Berlin-based singer and songwriter combines velvety vocals with an earthy, expressive delivery, bringing the intimacy of her songwriting into a rich live-band sound. For this edition of Tausend Live, the set brings together new, unreleased originals and a personal selection of favourite covers. Jazz and electronic influences run through her music, adding different shades to a sound firmly rooted in soul and blues. Her musical range extends well beyond the stage. Frankie has lent her voice to Sharam Jey & Jon Sine’s “Connections” and LUNAZ’s “Time After Time,” moving between live songwriting and electronic productions with the same warmth and feeling. Back with her band, it is her voice and the songs themselves that take centre stage. Doors open at 9:00 PM, and the concert begins at 10:30 PM, DJ Set after.
