Alva Noto Live (Transmissions Series)

Alva Noto bespielt das Reethaus mit einer kontinuierlichen Performance. Er nutzt Sequencer, Oszillatoren und analoge Glocken für einen minimalistischen Sound. Das Set ist auf vierzig Minuten angelegt. Die Musik bewegt sich zwischen elektronischem Formalismus und einer ruhigen, kontemplativen Stimmung. Im Anschluss findet ein Gespräch mit dem Soundwalk Collective statt. Der Fokus liegt auf dem bewussten Einsatz von Stille und Raum.

This November Reethaus and Soundwalk Collective present a live performance by Alva Noto who brings his skilful electronic detailing to Reethaus, offering an improvised performance with sequencers, oscillators and analog bells. \n\nOver the course of 40 minutes, Noto will improvise a single continuous piece, filling the inner space of Reethaus with his characteristic electronic formalism and meditative subtlety. The performance is followed by a conversation with Soundwalk Collective. Promising the astute minimalism for which he is known, Noto notes: “There will be a lot of space.”
