Lubunya Soliparty

Das Fitzroy öffnet seine Türen für eine Soliparty. Anlass ist die Inhaftierung von 82 queeren Personen in der Türkei, darunter Aktivisten und Mitarbeiter von Kaos GL. Die Veranstaltung sammelt Mittel für zehn der Betroffenen, um deren Grundbedürfnisse während der Haft zu sichern. Das Ziel liegt bei 48.000 TL, um die wöchentlichen Ausgabenlimits dieser Gruppe zu decken. Die DJs spielen ohne Gage, um das Vorhaben zu unterstützen. Es geht um ein Zeichen der Verbundenheit in einer Zeit zunehmender Repression. Der Abend wird durch Spenden am Einlass finanziert. Empfohlen wird ein Betrag zwischen 10 und 30 Euro. Das Line-up umfasst Y.UNAN, Mx. Sür, Arya und ALP.

We’re coming together at Fitzroy on Friday, October 9th, to raise funds and show our support for our queer friends who have been arrested in Turkey as part of the “My Family Is Safe” operation. At a time when the queer scene in Turkey is facing repression, we want to come together, share a night, and remind each other that none of us are alone. 82 people are currently known to be detained. For this fundraiser, we are raising funds for 10 of them — including a dear member of the Kaos GL team, queer activists, and nightlife workers from the community. Together, we’re hoping to raise 48,000 TL (around €870) — the combined weekly spending limit for these 10 people — to help them cover their basic needs while they are detained. Our DJs are playing voluntarily in solidarity, and we’d like to thank Fitzroy for opening its doors and supporting the fundraiser. Come join us, bring your friends, and show your support.
